It All Starts with a Good Cleaning

One of the most important and often ignored steps in Fuel Tank Repair is cleanliness. If contaminants are not removed from the outside of the tank, it is nearly impossible to get a high quality weld. At the same time, all tanks are internally flushed and chemical cleaned if necessary in order to remove volatiles and contaminants prior to repairing.

After the cleaning process, the tanks is inspected externally and internally. We then pressurize the tank up to specified pressure and immerse it in our test tank. Once the problem is identified, our experienced technicians commence the repair. As soon as the unit is repaired, it is water tested again to ensure the quality of the fuel tank repair.

Not Just Leak Repair

Dent Removal

S&F Radiator has the capability to remove dents from most fuel tanks. We can remove or replace end caps and remove dents from the tank body. Why spend money on a new tank when your dented tank can be repaired?

Wave Breaker / Baffle Repair

We often get fuel tanks in where the customer is complaining of not being able to draw fuel from the tank. More often than not this is from damage to the pickup tube caused by a broken wave breaker. Many tanks today have a wave breaker or a baffle within the tank. If this breaks loose, and is not caught in time , it will eventually damage the pickup tube rendering the tank useless. S&F Radiator's experienced technician have repaired hundreds of baffles.
